About

Larne Camera Club was originally formed as Island Camera Club in April 2012 by a small number of dedicated photographers who wanted something different. The decision proved to be a popular one, with more than 25 members joining by the end of the first year. The club has grown from strength to strength and is one of the most supported clubs in the province. In April 2015, Island Camera Club was re-branded as Larne Camera Club and moved to Dixon Hall Community Centre. In September 2018, the club moved to Ballygally Hall.
During the Covid pandemic, starting March 2020, the club began meeting online. In January 2022, the club moved face to face meetings to Greenland Community Centre. As we have emerged from the pandemic the club has returned to Ballygally Hall.

Meetings:

Larne Camera Club meets at 7:30pm from September to June. The evenings vary to accommodate members with different commitments, so please refer to the programme. Some of the evenings will be in person whilst others will be on zoom. The evening usually runs until around 9:30pm. We have a number of 'away days' between September and May too (check our Programme page for more details). Club members also meet on an informal basis during the summer months at various locations around the province.

Fees:

Annual Membership costs £35 for adults, £30 for concessions and £50 for family membership. Members joining after Christmas will receive a 50% reduction in fees.
Face to face meetings have an 'admission' fee of £2.00 to cover costs. Speaker Nights are open to both Members and Non-members. The 'admission' fees on these nights is £5.00 for Members and Non-members.
We are non-profit making organisation and all monies go towards the running costs of the club.
